Instructions will be given in class on Monday 2/1 and students will write all requirements in their Social Studies Notebook.  Please follow the instructions given in class.

Research one of the following: Pope Alexander II; St. Juan Diego; St. Martin de Porres; St. Rose of Lima, St. Turibius, St. Isaac Jogues; Father Junipero Serra; Jacques Cartier (anyone absent on Monday (2/1) will research Jacque Cartier ).  Therefore, 2 people will be reserching Cartier. 1-2 pages

1.  Describe the person that you're researching. (date of birth, place of birth, language spoken, etc)
2.  Where were they from?
3.  What were their purpose in coming to the America or what were they trying to accomplish?
4.  Explain the impact they had and left on the history of the Americas.
5.  Include important facts about the person.

Weekly Reminders - 1/4/16

WELCOME TO 2016 -  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my students, parents, and their families for the wonderful and thoughtful gifts I received for Christmas.  It is very much appreciated.  Again, Thank you all!


This quarter, students will be getting ready for mid-term exams.  Please make sure your child/ren are doing their homework, studying, going over daily classwork, and coming to class prepared.

The material on the mid-terms will cover the important terminology and concepts your child have learned since September, 2015. An outline of the important terms, concepts, and facts that may be covered on the exams will be posted on the school blog by Monday, January 11th.
