1. cleavage – the tendency of a mineral to break along flat surfaces.

2. meander – bends or s-shaped curves in a river.

3. aquifer – an underground layer of rock or soil filled with water.

4. seamount – a huge underwater volcanic mountain that may emerge from the ocean surface as an island.

5. smog – a mixture of smoke and fog.
