OUTCOMES: Students will be able to read and analyze political cartoons
ASSESSMENT: Students will view cartoons and articles on pp 298-299.

STRATEGIES: Students will work in groups to answer the questions on p. 299 and share their answers.
ESSENTIAL LEARNING:

Wednesday 27th, 2009
OUTCOMES: Chap. 12 – Students will know the purpose of the Declaration of Independence.
ASSESSMENT: Questions, answers and discussion led by the students.

STRATEGIES: Class group setting - Students will oral read and have discussion on the Second Continental Congress

OUTCOMES: Students will understand Thomas Jefferson’s purpose for writing the Declaration of Independence.
ASSESSMENT: For homework – Why was Jefferson known as the “Man of Many Talents?” LL
