1. hybrids - the offspring of two plants or animals of different species or varieties, such as a mule (a hybrid of a donkey and a horse)
2.  dominant trait - In genetics, a trait that will appear in the offspring if one of the parents contributes it.

3.  recessive trait - traits can be carried in a person's genes without appearing in that person.

4.  inherited trait - A trait or character that is genetically inherited or passed down from generation to generation.

5.  pedigree - a genealogical table, chart, list, or record, especially of a purebred animal. 3. distinguished, excellent, or pure ancestry

6.  genetics - The study of heredity, or how the characteristics of living things are transmitted from one generation to the next.

7.  carrier - An organism that carries a gene for a trait but does not show the trait itself.

8.  incomplete dominance - is the genetic situation when one gene for a characteristic trait does not completely dominate over another gene for the same characteristic trait, and the result is a characteristic trait that is midway between the two.

9.  Punnett Square - is a diagram that is used to predict an outcome of a particular cross or breeding experiment. It is named after Reginald C. Punnett, who devised the approach.

10.  purebred - of or relating to an animal, all of whose ancestors derive over many generations from a recognized breed.
