2.  insulator - a material or method that restricts the transfer of either heat or electricity.

3. conductor - a material or object that permits an electric current to flow easily

4. electric discharge - the release and transmission of electricity in an applied electric field through a medium such as a gas. Several types of electric discharges occur naturally on Earth

5. electric current -  the flow of charged particles

6.  circuit - is a path between two or more points along which an electrical current can be carried.

7.  voltage – A  measure of the difference in electric potential between two points in space, a material, or an electric circuit, expressed in volts.

8.  resistance - The opposition that a substance offers to the flow of electric current.

9.  parallel circuit - one that has two or more paths for the electricity to flow, the loads are parallel to each other.


10.  electrical power - the rate at which electric energy is transferred by an electric circuit.
